4/23/14 at WILLIAM SHAKESPEAR BIRTHDAY PARTY, CLARK MEMORIAL Library (Private)
This library is owned by UCLA...Has some vintage books..nice historic building(s) & grounds in the "historic" west adams area..UCLA periodically holds events here,mostly musical,but the only way to get in is by lottery. They email people who subscribe to them when there is an upcoming event & you can enter your name in the drawing...if you get chosen you get to go (albeit u still have to pay). Thus far, I have never been chosen,but they did a special today for Shakespeare's birthday & it wasn't lottery-style..just register & show up & its free. So I finally got to see the beautiful grounds & building..& they did a few Shakespeare things including some old books on display.
